2024 CHS Inc. Scholarship February 14, 2024 Thank you for your interest in the CHS Inc. Scholarship. The CHS Inc. Scholarship Fund was created as a lasting memory to the legacy created by Elburn Cooperative and to support communities that help strengthen the cooperative. Purpose The purpose of the CHS Inc. Scholarship Fund is to contribute to the educational expenses of a graduating senior from an accredited high school or student currently enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited college or university anywhere in the United States. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee each spring under the direction of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. All applications and any supporting documents must be submitted online. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on April 1. Scholarship Criteria To apply for a CHS Inc. Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a family member of a current CHS Inc. customer. Eligible current customers are those who conduct a minimum of $10,000 of business a year with CHS Inc. or be a family member of a current CHS Inc. employee. Be a male or female graduating senior from any accredited high school or student currently enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited college or university anywhere in the United States. Pursuing an undergraduate degree in any field of study. Preference may be given to those in Agriculture-related fields. Previous scholarship recipients may apply; however, preference may be given to those who have not been awarded a scholarship in the past. Application Checklist A complete application. Evidence of acceptance/enrollment in an undergraduate program from an accredited college or university. One or more letters of recommendation from one or more of the following: teacher, school counselor, or community leader. No letters of support from CHS Inc. employees will be accepted.
